Individual Counseling

Individual counseling is a reciprocal process between you and your counselor. It is most often used to help you create change and in turn, improve your quality of life. One of the goals of individual counseling is to create awareness. It is through awareness that we experience change and growth.

Change and growth can look different for everyone.

As your counselor, I am invested in your story. I provide you with an objective, non-judgmental perspective to help you become more aware of yourself, your surroundings, and how you relate with others. Together, we explore your stressors and tackle them one at a time with the goal of reducing your distress and improving your overall life satisfaction.

The first time we meet, we will discuss informed consent and confidentiality. These statements outline your rights. They also identify and give us an opportunity to overcome any barriers that might affect our ability to conduct private and confidential services.

Once you feel comfortable, we will begin discussing what your goals are and together, we will devise a plan to accomplish those goals. The first meeting is typically scheduled to last 75 minutes.

How will we meet?

Individual and couples counseling will be conducted using telehealth services. You will have access to a secure and encrypted client portal that we will use to meet during each appointment.

How long is an appointment?

Depending on your needs, appointments can be scheduled for 25, 50, or 75 minute sessions. The cost for each session will fluctuate depending on the type (length) of session you schedule.
