About Me
Licensed Associate Counselor
Hello! I’m Jocelyn
Licensed Associate Counselor
As a helping professional, I believe every person is unique and therefore, the way we approach your health will be unique to you. I provide a safe, non-judgmental environment where you can genuinely explore and more deeply understand your life experiences.
My love for health and wellness began in 2014 when I first started my own wellness journey. I began exercising and being more mindful about the kinds of food I was eating. I pursued a career in personal training. Then, I became involved in working as a lifestyle coach for diabetes prevention, helping others make behavioral changes to reduce their risk for type II diabetes. I ultimately pursued a career in counseling to carry on this health and wellness mission. My goal is to help others achieve a greater sense of wellness holistically. Wellness is not just physical or mental, but encompasses so much more.

How Your Goals Are Met
As humans, we all have needs. Meeting these needs directly influences our overall wellness and life satisfaction. I use a person-centered approach to help you identify what areas of your life are in “need,” and together we create a plan and work towards adding value to your life. I help you stay focused and to find autonomy (and satisfaction) in the choices you make.
My Background
What is a Licensed Associate Counselor?
In Arkansas, there are two levels of licensure: LAC (Licensed Associate Counselors) and LPC (Licensed Professional Counselors). I am an LAC. This means I have competed my master’s degree training and have obtained a provisional license post-graduation. As an LAC, I will work under a supervisor until I complete 3,000 hours of care, after which I may become an LPC.
